Our Story
Twenty years ago, during Mike Gendron's last semester at seminary, he and his wife Jane began inviting Roman Catholics over to their home every Tuesday night to watch a Gospel video and answer questions. Within three months they witnessed 17 Catholics exchange their religion for a relationship with the Lord Jesus. They were even more excited when many of these friends came back on Wednesday nights to be discipled in the truth. There was no greater joy for the Gendrons than to see those who were dead in sin come alive in Christ and watch them grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.
Upon graduation Mike helped pastor a church and continued his own personal outreach and ministry to Roman Catholics. As the growing demands of this personal ministry increased, it became clear that such a ministry was greatly needed and would require all of his time. Mike and his wife Jane then officially began Proclaiming the Gospel Ministry and have been serving through it full time ever since. In 2008 Jason Hauser joined Proclaiming Gospel part time while a student in seminary. Since 2013 Jason has been on staff full time.
The heart and mission of Proclaiming the Gospel ministry is the same from the first day it was founded. To continue to equip and encourage the saints to be faithful witnesses for the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no higher calling than becoming an ambassador for the King of kings and a no more important duty than taking His message to a lost and dying world. The supreme mission of the church is to be obedient to the Great Commission. It gathers for worship but scatters for evangelism. God gives every Christian the privilege of glorifying Him by proclaiming the greatest news anyone will ever hear about the greatest gift ever given.
